Top Places In Silverton For Senior Pictures
1. Gallon House Bridge
Gallon House Bridge between Mt Angel and Silverton is such a great location because you can get so many looks in such a small area. You have rustic wood, creek, grass and trees. It's also the perfect rainy day location. Most of the time when we get rained out (which doesn't happen as often as you would think in Oregon) we just reschedule, but some clients prefer just to move the session to Gallon House. Another thing I love about gallon house, for any seniors who parents grew up in the area, they probably had portraits there too when they were younger. I love the nostalgic touches.
2. Downtown Silverton
While Silverotn isn't very large, it has an adorable downtown and so many different textures. Every few steps you can create a whole different look.
3. In the Studio
With my studio located right in the heart of Silverton we can get great, classic images. I love the simplicity of the studio sessions.
4. Oregon Gardens
I feel so lucky to live to close to such a beautiful location. I love that every season there are new plants and flowers popping up. The gardens are just so massive that there are endless possibilities.
5. Salamander Island
This place isn't for everyone. The trail there is steep. I don't take anyone who needs an accessible place or I don't take families with really young kids. But if you are open for a little adventure, I love this section of the creek.
6. Silver Falls State Park
I never get tired of going to the falls. I often just sneak away for a couple hours during the day to hike behind the waterfalls and just recharge. For waterfall photos I love the Upper North Falls. It's a short, flat walk to the falls so that you stay fresher faced for photos. You can also walk right out to the water. Beside the falls,. there are so many beautiful places amongst the trees.
7. Silverton Reservoir
The Silverton Reservoir is a great place for fall photos because you get such beautiful fall colors and not the crazy crowds in the summer. The reservoir is one of my favorite places to go paddle boarding in the summer. I love the photographing on the docks as well as on the trails.
8. Silverton High School (and middle school)
For kids that are really involved at school, photos at the high school and middle school track and football fields can be a great option. Often times this is just a quick stop for some sports photos on the way to other locations.
While these are some of my regular locations, there are so many options around Silverton. Schedule your free consultation to take all the details about picking the location thats right for you.
